Location: Home working/ attendance to site - Didcot
Rate: £500 per day umbrella
In this role, you will work closely with our sustainability leadership team. You will be responsible for providing expertise on annual sustainability reporting and driving high-profile role in delivering a sustainable GDF.
MAIN DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare the annual sustainability report including template, scope definition, data collection and content production.
Write and edit first sustainability report with support from E&S Manager & wider team.
Work with key teams around the business to compile data and narrative needed for sustainability performance reporting, in the annual report. Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications, and Creative functions as well as ensuring input from across the business and its SME's
Must have the ability to collect and analyse data from dispersed functions and be at ease handling large amounts of data from various sources, with variable levels of cleanliness and granularity (collecting, aggregating, cleaning, imputing, transforming etc.). Knowledge of a scripting language is a plus (Python, R.).
Support the agile development of annual sustainability report by tracking legislation, governance requirements and market trends on sustainability related topics and translate them into business requirements.
Specialist in one or more of the following topics: climate change (net zero emissions, climate risks, TCFD, SBTi), biodiversity, sustainability reporting.
Support the business to answer ESG questionnaires
Preparing sustainability updates for Group Executive meetings, focused on key sustainability performance, opportunities, risks and issues.
Skills & Quals
4+ years of experience in a communications or sustainability related field (e.g. sustainability consultancy, environmental, sustainable finance)
Experience developing sustainability reporting concepts, structure, key messaging and overall content for reports.
Previous participation in a lead role within a sustainability programme (Comms/analyst/reporting.)
Strong data management skills.
Knowledge of nuclear/infrastructure sector and /or ESG is a plus.
