Job Description

JOB TITLE: Electrical Sub Project Manager

LOCATION: Sellafield
RATE: £ 40 - £45 Per Hour Umbrella
DURATION: 12 Month Contract



Degree qualified in an applicable discipline such as Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Business and Construction Management or have an appropriate APM Qualification.
Nuclear Industry experience
Current Security Clearance
Previous Project Management and Design and implement project experience required
Experience of working the full lifespan of a project
Knowledge and experience of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
E&I / Fire Detection experience would be beneficial but not essential
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Primavera or Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of a number of aspects of the nuclear cycle (reprocessing, waste management, decommissioning, power generation)
Familiarity with UK regulatory regimes (ONR, EA, etc.)
Proven leadership and management skills

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager and be responsible for the delivery of a project management service from feasibility through design, implementation, and handover.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of either work packages as part of a large complex project, complete delivery of a small project or multiple minor tasks.

As the Electrical Sub Project Manager you will be require to complete but not limited to the following day to day activities:

- Planning, directing and co-ordinating the team's activities to manage and implement projects and/or interrelated projects from initiation to final close down.
Determine, monitor and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements.
Plans, schedules, monitors and reports on activities related to the project.
Adheres to the established project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan.
Undertakes status review meetings among project team members and customers. Advises Senior Management on project management capability and risk.
Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues.
Creates communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information exchange among key stakeholders.
