Type: Contract
Rate: £20.88
Hours: 37 hours per week - 12 month duration

Job Purpose:

The position is in the Metrics & Analysis group which is part of the Executive Support, Analysis and Reporting Department (ESARD) of Generation. This group is responsible for providing fleet performance information needed by decision makers to deliver safe, reliable generation and business plan targets and aspirations. In addition the group is also responsible for fleet performance reporting to external organisations such as WANO, IAEA, and EDF Group.

Nature and Scope

The Metrics & Analysis group provides a performance information service for decision makers at all levels of the business. This includes the Generation and NG executive teams, station and site management teams, fleet managers and fleet process owners amongst others.
Whilst the group is currently focused on Nuclear Generation it is also developing an understanding of Nuclear Decommissioning requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

As a member of the Metrics and Reporting group the successful candidate will be expected to:-

Work with members of the central fleet managers, central and station Performance Improvement managers and their teams to ensure that performance metrics, monitoring methods and reports promote a clear picture of results and how these are achieved at fleet and station level

Perform integrity checks on data entered in into systems before it is issued in monthly reports for use by senior leaders across the business

Support the annual review of metrics used across NG and the subsequent target setting process that is a key strand of the development of Generation's business plan

Validate and publish Generation performance information to external agencies such as WANO and IAEA and the EDF/ONR Safety performance indicator programme

Pull together high quality performance information slide packs to support senior leaders onward communication of NG's business results

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

A degree or equivalent experience or qualification in a technical, scientific, engineering or performance information management and reporting area is desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to engage and influence a diverse selection of stakeholders

Self-disciplined with a strong sense of integrity (particularly with regards to reporting)
