Job Description

Role: Fleet Chemistry Data Support

Location: Barnwood, Gloucester
Type: Contract
Rate: £16.79 per hour PAYE
Hours: 5 days per week Monday-Friday

Vacancy Overview
This vacancy is to provide support to the Nuclear Generation Fleet on the management of chemistry data for 3 days per week and to provide support to Hinkley Point B and Hartlepool on the management of environmental data 2 day per week. The vacancy can be based at either the Barnwood office or the East Kill Bride office. It will require occasional travel away from the office. Travel is estimated ~2 days per quarter.
Nature and Scope
The duties of the successful candidate will be:

Perform and report monthly chemistry compliance using the Chemistry Compliance Monitoring Programme (CCMP) processes using SAP Business Objects

Manage, maintain and develop the CCMP process in line with business needs

Extract, analyse, trend, report and graph fleet chemistry and environmental data from the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

Support the maintenance and development of the fleet chemistry LIMS and the Hinkley Point B (HPB) and Hartlepool (HRA) Environmental Safety Group (ESG) LIMS

Prepare and submit monthly LIMS change requests in line with business requests

Assist with data extraction requests by EDF staff and provide information where appropriate

Develop reports and graphs of chemistry and environmental metrics and data using SAP Business Objects

Provide additional support to Chemistry Fleet Lead and the HPB & HRA ESG Head as required
Principal Accountabilities
The successful candidate will be accountable to the Chemistry Fleet Lead for chemistry fleet support work and to the HPB & HRA ESG Head for the environmental LIMS support work. The Chemistry Fleet Lead and the HPB & HRA ESG Head will delegate work specification appropriately within their teams.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
The successful candidate will:

Have strong computing skills and experience, including the use of databases and/or data management software systems

Have some experience and/or qualification in chemistry or environmental science

Preferably have some experience with using SAP Business Objects

Preferably have some knowledge and experience with SQL

Preferably have some knowledge or experience in Nuclear Power Operations

Preferably have academic qualifications to degree level or equivalent
