Job Description

JOB TITLE: Senior Planner

LOCATION: Whitehaven

RATE: £ 45- £59 Per Hour Ltd

DURATION: 6 Months

MUST HAVES:

-
Previous experience of working within the Nuclear Industry
-
Degree Qualified or qualified by experience however a minimum of HNC or HND ideally within an Engineering discipline is required.
-
Significant experience within all aspects of Planning and Scheduling using P6
-
Be flexible to be site or office based subject to the business needs
-
Effective client interface skills and experience with the ability to offer both strategic and project advice.
-
Strong report writing, presentation and IT skills.
-
Fully conversant in the use of Primavera P6 as a minimum.
-
Experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting
-
Breadth of experience across whole project and programme lifecycle. (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes).

The ability to reconcile cost information as it applies to the programmes of work.
-
Proficient in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools
-
Proficient in the use of Earned Value Analysis.

ROLE INFORMATION:

As the Senior Planning Engineer you will support the project teams working on Nuclear Generation sites to deliver planning activities for the client and form part of the team approach to the project delivery. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Provide and implement high quality planning and scheduling standards to the project Managers

Produce detailed logic linked project plans using P6 round Project WBS

Ensure the integration of project control procedures
-
Provide input into the daily, weekly and monthly schedule updates and produce monthly planning reports, resource updates and projections.

Produce reports of significant schedule impacts and their effect on progress and completion
-
Prepare information and attend regular planning progress meetings.
