Resource Planner

The EDF Renewables ambition is to be a distinctive and recognised leader in the UK and Ireland, developing our assets under operation to c.5GW by 2030. The EDF Renewables Central Technical Organisation (CTO) provides technical services,
governance and support for all assets across their lifecycle from origination to decommissioning. The CTO is a multidiscipline,
dynamic and growing team currently made up of circa 45 Engineers, Project Managers and Procurement

We are seeking a Resource Planner to co-ordinate CTO resources and own the resource planning process and tools. The Resource Planner will work closely with the CTO Team Leaders, Business Partners, and key stakeholders to establish and maintain the resource planning process and tools. They will attend the weekly resource planning team meeting and provide
interaction with and visibility of the resource plan including a one week, one month, and 6 month look-ahead.
They will
support on the review and prioritisation of business objectives and work requests. They will process CTO team timesheets and use for assessment of future demand. They will provide a weekly report on resource utilisation and planning to the CTO

They will support in other business activities when required. They will also be responsible for contributing to a strong, collaborative and positive working culture among the CTO, and for
delivering the full potential of synergies and efficiencies with the wider business.

• Organised and efficient with excellent communication and IT skills.
• Able to engage with all stakeholders to gather and assess the resource plan inputs.
• Develop, maintain and take responsibility for the resource planning tools.
• Develop a consistent approach for assessing and prioritising business objectives and work requests.
• Provide a weekly report including an updated Resource Plan and supporting commentary to the CTO management.
• Gather, review and assess timesheet data and use for input to resource planning.
• Track planned versus actual resource requirements.
• Support in other business activities as required.


• Appropriate Degree or industry equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience of resource planning skills, preferably working in engineering or construction with multidisciplinary
• Proficient in the use of Resource Planning Software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience of delivering project goals and objectives in a prioritised and organised manner.
• Understanding and appreciation of other project management knowledge areas e.g. Project Management,
Programme Management, Risk Management, Costs Management, Document Control, Quality Assurance, etc.
