Senior Project Manager
Job DescriptionMain Duties and Responsibilities
Delivering plans for projects under their control and monitoring subsequent performance against this, taking corrective action where appropriate.
Management of projects and significant work packages.
Manage multidisciplinary teams to produce project deliverable.
Management of sub-contractors and consortium partners.
Reporting to Customers on all aspects your projects using written reports, Gantt charts and presentations.
Leading a team of specialists preparing proposals for future lines of work.
Reporting of project finance and schedule to senior management team.
Provide advice and training on project management matters to junior members of staff.
Skills and Attributes
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build networks at all levels whilst influencing others
Proactive approach to problem solving
Experienced manager of people
Flexible approach to work and the demands that are sometimes outside of standard operating hours
CIEEM or CIWEM, or at least have eligibility to progress membership.
Health and Safety training to a high level (IOSH, NEBOSH National NEBOSH).
Experience of managing a large team and projects
Full Driving License
Strong leadership skills
Highly organised with good time management skills
Ability to talk confidently to technical experts and gain the trust of team members
Ability to delegate effectively
Should be able to adapt and respond to changing situations
Ability to learn quickly
High level of self-motivation and drive, and capable of motivating others
Effective written and verbal communication.
