Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Liaise with suppliers regarding contract fleet performance and facilitate areas where intervention is required.
Brief / communicate to contract senior management on Fleet Compliance, Road Risk and Insurance related statistics and highlighting areas requiring improvement and support.
Ensure all fleet driver inductions are undertaken and training records updated / maintained
Ensure all vehicles/trailers are presented for service and inspection as required to meet legislative requirements.
All relevant paperwork is maintained and held locally in vehicle files including "closure of defects".
Be the point of responsibility for all Fleet related accreditations and for any compliance / audit inspections.
Facilitate Driver intervention via an escalation process and implement remedial training/action where identified.
Trucks / Trailers (over 3.5T)
Manage contract requirements regarding all Operator Licence requirements.
Facilitate the use of digital tachograph to ensure both driver and vehicle digital tachograph records are downloaded within legislative requirements.
Ensure driving hours are programmed within legislative requirements.
Provide detailed analysis debriefs to drivers on performance.
Transport Manager Certificate in Professional Competency (CPS)
Understanding of Operator Licence requirements
Previous Experience in similar role
Strong people management and leadership skills
Competence in use of Excel / Word and general computer skills
Driver CPC qualification
LGV Licence C+E
