JOB TITLE: Service Manager
LOCATION: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: £38,325
DURATION: Permanent

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Batchelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
-
ITIL Foundation/ Practitioner Level
-
Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
-
Broad IT leadership and management experience within a policing/public sector or similarly complex organisation
-
At least 5 years' experience of working within an IT managed service environment
-
Demonstrable experience of managing suppliers, from an operational and contractual perspective
-
Experience of reporting on KPI achievements and having difficult conversations with supplier when not meeting these targets.
-
Experience of provisioning a managed service to users and stakeholders
-
Experience of managing multiple contracts revenue and capital as required
-
Experience of a multi-supplier model including contract management and knowledge of procurement routes and methodologies
-
Knowledge and experience of managing and working with IT services delivered across multiple locations
-
Demonstrable experience of producing, designing and developing service management reports
-
Experience of budget management and control, managing to achieve best value
-
Experience of complex stakeholder management

COMPANY INFORMATION:
My client is a specialist armed police service dedicated to protecting the nuclear industry.

ROLE INFORMATION:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of services from specified service towers within the IT operating model. This includes ensuring the technology is fully understood and that the service levels provided are effective and business objectives are met.

Design and deliver support and service solutions for the users in line with ITIL and industry best practice.

Manage and develop operational and strategic partnerships with third party supplies and other inter stakeholders working with the Business Relationship Managers.

Understand and provide input into the department strategy with focus on opportunities to grow and enhance services offered.

Manage and record account management meetings with suppliers, evaluating performance and KPI evidence, creating action plans to resolve shortfalls.
-
Ensure quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements.
