My client a forward thinking, rapidly growing property organisation, who specialise in regeneration. Currently as a Group they employer upwards of 600 people across the UK and have a turnover in excess of £60 million.
They have built housing for sale, social and private rent and shared ownership in both city centre and rural locations.
Following a restructure, exciting new opportunities have become available within the company's communications department and as such they are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this opportunity would be a professional who has the ability to product basic design, photography, video and editing work. Along with possessing strong interpersonal skills, candidates must have the ability to represent the company at external meetings, building relationships with stakeholders and to negotiate with suppliers.
To support marketing and communications activities across the Group including its subsidiaries, by providing an account management service which includes strategic and operational communications advice, planning and implementation.
A non-exhaustive list of the key role responsibilities is detailed below:
Write and implement communications and marketing plans.
Brief designers, agencies, photographers and other suppliers.
Create content, including copywriting and editing, and basic design, video and photography.
Provide planning, support and management for events.
Research, measure and evaluate, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Produce or manage the production of materials including design, print, online content, websites, merchandise, photography etc.
Handle media and social media enquiries and generate proactive publicity.
Plan and procure paid-for advertising.
Manage spend and budgets for projects etc.
Support or partner the Marketing and Communications Team members in work for other parts of the business as required.
To understand and support the company's commitment to investing in communities and actively contribute to achieving this vision within the job role.
To ensure compliance with the Group's Health and Safety policies.
To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development applicable to their professional body and be prepared to undertake training as directed by the Group.
The post holder may be directed by their line manager to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.
A list of the desired skills, experience, knowledge and personal attributes for the Company and the role is detailed below:
Ability to produce basic design, photography, video and editing work.
Excellent writing skills, suitable for different channels and audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to represent the company at external meetings, to build relations with stakeholders and to negotiate with suppliers.
Experience of using social media to target market events and initiatives.
Great account management skills, able to be a critical friend and soundboard and to challenge constructively.
Strategic and creative thinker.
Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude and be willing to learn and develop new skills.
Experience in producing a variety of communications materials including print, online, social media, exhibition etc.
Good IT skills e.g. Office 365, web CMS etc.
Educated to degree level and/or professional qualification would be an advantage.
The post holder may on occasion be required to travel to other offices and therefore the ability to travel to other offices and locations which may not be easily accessible by public transport.
