Wintel Engineer - SC Clearance preferred

Knowledge and Skills required

Good understanding of Wintel Server and Desktop operating systems. Holds current Microsoft certifications.
Good understanding of a specialist technology with relevant certification.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the deployment, configuration, testing & administration of server OS and hardware.
Knowledge of hardware devices - Networking, Storage & Servers and peripherals.
Good understanding of other infrastructure technologies e.g. virtualisation, clustering
Good understanding of managing change in a large Enterprise.
Awareness of ITIL practices and processes. Assisting in the delivery of specific project work packages provided by upstream engineering teams.
Undertake Integration of pre-engineered solutions and execute changes within the customer test environments, including the investigation and raising of defects.
Assess the technical impact of the changes on the existing customer infrastructure and awareness of potential issues this may introduce
Creating and updating technical documentation as part of their role responsibility.
Ability to follow pre-engineered/technical documentation and solutions. Where necessary identifying any irregularities or defects; feeding these back to the appropriate area/party
Troubleshoot irregularities and defects with pre-engineered design and where possible identifying the cause of issues
Support overall team deliverables and project requirements
o Participating in department/team meetings providing accurate updates regards progress or issues encountered and escalating these to their team leads where necessary
Requirement to liaise with other technical teams and capabilities
Good understanding of Wintel Server and Desktop operating systems. Holds current Microsoft certifications.
