SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS:
£45 per hour (LTD)
Twelve Months Contract
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Preferably degree qualified (HNC Minimum) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Must have had formal training in BS 8888 at both level 1 and level 2.
Must have experience in the production and checking of manufacturing fabrication drawings, ensuring Sellafield Limited and British Standards are adhered too.
Specifically, must have significant experience in the origination and application of the ISO GPS product specification. i.e. Must be an experienced user in geometric product specification (ISO GPS) including the use of BS 8888, 8015, 5459, 17450, 1101, 2692, 10579, etc.
Manufacturing support role General needs
Is able to or has experience in establishing relationships with SMEs
Demonstrable competence working on other manufacturing projects
Used to working within management systems
Capable of making sound decisions based on available information protecting the interests of SL and the Programme
Understand the significance of the project, the safety implications and the application of ALARP principles in their decision making
Good communication skills to negotiate responses and manage interfaces between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
The ability to understand and translate the complex issues to differing audiences
Demonstrable track record of delivery to client targets
Experience of providing accurate and understandable progress updates
Ability to anticipate and resolve issues
Understanding of manufacturing issues for a volume product
Awareness of Geometric Product Specification (ISO GPS) (BS 8888, 8015 etc.) and its application
Awareness of modern manufacturing processes incl. machining, welding and metrology
Understanding of stainless materials, ideally duplex materials.
Ability and willingness to travel to on a weekly basis
