To assist in the search for new sites across the UK and ROI to build a pipeline of renewable energy projects (onshore wind, solar, hydro and energy storage) capable of allowing the business to meet its strategic growth targets. This will involve liaising with teams of consultants and land agents to initially identify sites and undertake pre-feasibility studies.
• Assist with site search and feasibility work including preparing or arranging preliminary layouts, assessments of grid, access and energy resource for all technologies
• Assist with the instruction and effective management of land agents, consultants in relation to securing land agreements.
• Keep the New Business Managers fully apprised of opportunities and ensure all internal knowledge is captured.
• Report on trends and opportunities against requirements of the pipeline.
• Ensure all key decisions are supported by sufficient due diligence and investigation
• Proactive approach to health and safety management including development of pre tender/development plans and completion of audits and actions
• Assist with any due diligence activity on property matters in relation to any acquisition opportunities
Skills and Requirements
• Professional Qualification or experience preferably related to land/property, energy or environment.
• Ability to use GIS packages (and other standard PC packages) and read and interpret maps.
• Up to date Renewables technical and market knowledge.
• Experience and understanding of commercial and property agreements and negotiations.
• Assisting with negotiation of land contracts
• Health and safety knowledge and awareness
• Excellent interpersonal skills, operating confidently at all levels internally and externally.
• Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact.
• Full driving licence.

• Professional Qualification or experience preferably related to land/property, energy or environment.
• Geographical Information Systems (GIS) knowledge and ability
• Renewable energy site feasibility and development awareness including main feasibility requirements for new energy sites
