Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Rate: Excellent day/hourly rate available
Contract duration: 4 - 6 months with view to extend
A fantastic opportunity for an assistant QS has arisen with the UK leading Power & Process Engineering company based in Teesside.
We require an assistant QS who will report to the on-site Senior QS. Key duties will involve the following:
Change Management - Variation pricing, recording and reporting. Liaising with client in respect of same.
Management of Risk and Opportunity Register and reporting
Supporting re-measure of installed scope and aligning with BOQ for recovery.
Working closely with all other functions, specifically Project Planner and Construction Manager
Supporting the management of Subcontracts including the assessment and certification of Sub-contract payments in accordance with the individual subcontracts
Identify and act on any potential for delay/disruption claims including evaluation of cost and schedule impact
Cost Control and Forecasting
Regular progress reporting (Schedule and Commercial) to the Project Manager on all aspects of the sub-contract activities.
