SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: £30,322 - £37,903 per annum
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
HNC in Engineering/Mathematical discipline or previous experience in scheduling/programming/
planning projects and a portfolio of works.
Knowledge of scheduling using industry standard software such as Primavera and MS Project.
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Good spoken & written communication skills.
Experienced in report writing.
Experienced in the use of MS Office tools: Excel, Word, Access, etc.
Appreciation of quality assurance processes.
Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the job
A Planner will manage their own work schedule and plan their workscope requirements around
reporting cycles and monthly scheme team meetings to align with the business time requirements.
A Planner is required to interface with staff from various departments, at differing levels, to gather
programme updates and other information required to update project plans and reports.
Reporting and analysis of information contained within the Project Plans will be gathered and
communicated to Project Unit Management in order to draw conclusions and make
recommendations that are needed to maintain business targets.
Develop & evolve Transmission major project plans through the Delivery lifecycle by interfacing
with relevant business experts, obtaining the task detail required to provide adequate project
scheduling information - allowing project performance to be monitored against agreed project
control measures (KPIs).
Update project plans at a pre-determined frequency (usually monthly), obtaining the relevant inputs
through collaboration with other Project Team Members.
Produce portfolio level monthly reports based upon the most up-to-date Project Plan KPIs to
inform & assist the portfolio level management decision making process - informing of project
Analyse internal departmental schedules & external contractor project plans as required; ensuring
and advising the Project Team of their suitability and any actions required to meet the overall
project plan control & schedule targets.
Attend internal and external meetings as required, providing planning advice, reports, KPIs and
programme views to assist Project Team decision making.
Comply with the relevant Quality Management System and support any process improvement
Deliver any development actions as defined in PDP.

Responsible for developing, monitoring and updating Project Programmes for individual projects
and a combined portfolio for SPTransmission Major Projects Investment Plan worth approx.
Produces monthly reporting and provides analysis and recommendations on project schedule
progress and project performance v's agreed project control measures to Business Unit Managers
for own portfolio of project programmes.
