Job Description

JOB TITLE: Project Engineer


LOCATION: Wilson House, Warrington


RATE: £55,000- £60,00 DOE / will also accept contract £40-£50 ph DOE


CLIENT INFORMATION:

My client is a leading international industrial services provider. The Group enhances the efficiency of assets, ensures a high level of availability and reduces maintenance costs. Their portfolio covers the entire value chain from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, plant expansion as well as turnarounds and also includes environmental technologies and digital applications.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

•HND or Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
•At least 5 years' experience of managing engineering design of multiple projects within an applicable sector
•Sound Engineering background
•Experience of delivery of engineering projects on operational/ brownfield sites
•Good Knowledge of relevant regulations e.g ATEX/DSEAR, CDM, PED/PER etc
•Experience in general process plant is required and preferably experience in chemicals, energy and waste recycling projects

NICE TO HAVE:

•Formal Project Management training from Association of Project Managers (APM) or similar
•Chartered or Incorporated Engineer

THE ROLE:

Bilfinger UK are looking to strengthen its engineering team to meet forthcoming project requirements. They are looking for project engineers to manage overall design input into projects. In particular, they require experienced engineers who have worked within a Project EPC environment and have a proven record of managing the engineering requirements within the environment.


•Manages a portfolio of design projects for Bilfinger clients or reporting to a Bilfinger project manager
•Provide design cost estimates and programmes to the estimating team and/or project manager
•Prepare and present regular progress reports for engineering and design
•Responsible for successful delivery of all engineering and design projects to meet clients technical standards, on time and on budget
•Support procurement activities in projects, taking the lead of procurement of technical equipment and supporting installation subcontract activities
•Coordinate engineering discipline functions and ensure inter-discipline and wider design reviews are coordinated and completed.
•Coordinate and manage all third party approvals of engineering and design packs
•Coordinate and manage formal process safety assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, SWIDS etc)
