We are currently looking for TWO of the best Maintenance Engineers to work for a high-profile Rail Company based in Chester.
Working on the Class 175 Rail Vehicles, you will be required to undertake general Mechanical/Electrical maintenance alongside refuelling duties and shunting/driving responsibility too, for which you will undergo psychometric testing and driver training.
The role is for an initial 6-month period with a potential permanent opportunity.
This is a great opportunity for NVQ Level 3 qualified Maintenance Engineers of either a Mechanical or Electrical persuasion to showcase your existing skills whilst adding to them as well!
Working on a five-week roster, successful applicants will be required work days and nights on an average 37 hours per week
£15.16/hour for all hours worked
Additional weekly train driving allowance once training is complete
Located in central Chester, modes of transport to the surrounding areas are versatile and offers good links via road and public transport. Applicants with their own modes of transport can benefit from free on-site parking and bike storage.
Candidates MUST be qualified up to NVQ Level 3 (or recognised equivalent) in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You must also be able to provide certificates of these prior to your start.
Experienced and qualified Mechanical/Electrical engineers
Rolling stock experience is desirable but not essential
Able to act as a member of a multi-disciplined team (flexibility around team roles)
