Job DescriptionPosition Title:
I am currently working in partnership with a Technical Consultancy who have a heavy footprint in the water sector where they have extensive engagement with water companies all over the country. Due to an upstream in workload they are looking to take on a highly proficient Field Engineer to lead their projects to further success on the Yorkshire Water contract.
The Field Engineer is a Contract position and will cover the whole of the Yorkshire region across a range of sites supporting the delivery of a wide variety of Yorkshire Water projects within a multidisciplinary team covering a range of activities on Yorkshire Water sites related to instrumentation, telemetry / SCADA and treatment processes, will include manging sub-contractors on behalf of the client.
In the position of Field Engineer you will be expected to carry out the following tasks & duties:
Working on clients' sites undertaking site surveys and managing sub-contractors
Ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance within agreed timescales and scope
Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Yorkshire Water's procedures
Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required
Creation of own Risk assessments and Method statements
Ensure all work carried out adheres to Yorkshire Water's Health & Safety procedures
What qualifications and experience do you need?
Commissioning and Fault-finding On-Site Processes
Electrical background, 17th / 18th Edition
Water Industry knowledge
CompEx aware (desirable)
Must be computer literate and able to use various MS office applications
Health & Safety understanding and application
Awareness of CDM Regulations 2015
Able to work well in a team and under own initiative
Confined Space training (desirable)
ONC / HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Would need to achieve YW Electrical Authorisation
