I am actively recruiting for an RTU Configuration Engineer who has 'Straton' knowledge. The successful candidate will be involved in working on projects with my Client and their Framework partner Irish Water. As well as Irish Water, my Client is heavily involved with United Utilities and Yorkshire Water Frameworks, which means there could potentially be a chance of a long-term contract on other Frameworks.
My Client will require the Configuration Engineer to be based in Dublin for 2 - 3 times per week, maybe more at first whilst training is provided on the Irish Water Systems and Procedures. After training, there will be a split between working from home and being based in Dublin. Whilst working away from home flights and accommodation will be provided.
Responsibilities of the RTU Configuration Engineer:
Working with Remote Terminal Units across Irish Water Sites.
Working on the Communication and Control part of the massive Irish Water Project.
Works as part of the Client's SCADA team, reporting to the Technical Team Lead.
Creation of SCADA configurations to control a number of valuable assets.
Perform reviews of input/output schedules to ensure consistency between installed devices across all Stations & Sites. These devices include Pumps and MCC's.
Provide design support to testing and commissioning Engineers on site.
Creation and update of documentation for site engineers to build against.
Creation of Wiring, Cable and termination schedules to aid the installation teams.
Appreciation of engineering change control and configuration processes.
Requirements for the Telemetry Configuration Engineer:
On the job training will be provided
Must be able to use Microsoft office products.
Must be from a technical or engineering background.
Previous knowledge of RTUs, PLCs, or logical control systems.
Basic Knowledge of Usual Point Configuration, Mimic Implementation, End to End testing & Straton Knowledge.
Knowledge of Metasphere Design outstations.
