Job Description

ROLE: Mechanical Technician
LOCATION: Farnborough

YOU MUST HAVE:
-Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and Assembly or similar
-Experience in a manufacturing environment
-Experience and able to interpret complex engineering drawings
-The ability to assemble complex optical, electrical and mechanical assemblies
-Mechanical skills. Previous experience using Pillar Drill, Lathe, Milling and Grinding machine ideally
-Strong communication, verbal and written skills, PC literate including use of MRP system and drawing viewer

THE ROLE:
To assemble high value nuclear and industrial camera products and systems, this will include optical, mechanical and electrical equipment, following drawings, procedures and adhering to company standards. This role will be part of a team working to manufacturing timescales, meeting company deadlines. You will liaise with supervisors and other personnel to resolve manufacturing issues. You will log time spent on jobs via a weekly timesheet, sign job sheets to allow transfer of products to another department, comply with HSE policy, conserve resources where possible, complete Quality Documentation and contribute to positive and successful team accomplishment.
