SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: £11.95 p/h
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Good physical fitness
IDEALLY YOU ALSO HAVE: Previous experience in a chemical plant would be adventageous but not critical.

Monitoring chemical stock levels and placing orders to restock
Hosting and off -loading bulk chemical tankers
Preparing chemical dosing tanks
General Lab housekeeping - disposal of chemical waste, restocking of lab sundries, instrument cleaning and maintenance
Transporting of chemicals/gas bottles and sundries across the Station
Packaging and sending routine water samples off site
Sampling of routine basic water/ oil and gas systems
Analysis of routine samples using dedicated instruments
Hosting service engineers and other visitors to the chemistry department
Knowledge skills, qualification and experience:
Excellent organisational skills (flexible/organised/methodical)
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Flexible approach with the ability to work as an integral part of a team as well as working on own initiative
Able to work for long periods standing and in adverse weather conditions
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office or similar
Experience of working in a chemical lab or on an industrial plant is preferable but not necessary
While not overly physical this role will require a considerable amount of walking and carrying of loads up and down stairs.
