Technician - Rolling Stock - Nottingham
Ongoing Contract Position
Rate - £19.97 per hour (Limited/Umbrella)
Shifts - 4 on/4 off

My Client, a market leader within the rail industry, is currently looking to recruit a Technician to join an existing team and perform a variety of duties including fault finding and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be required to work on shifts, including nights, at a Nottingham depot. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of carrying out fault finding / diagnostic work on rolling stock and will be electrically biased, with strong mechanical skills.


• Work as part of maintenance team, carrying out a variety of duties as required
• Liaise with NTL, i.e. Control Room if organising Tram movements in Depot etc.
• Troubleshooting of tram defects
• To ensure accuracy of the documented reports
• To ensure that your activities are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety practices, policies and procedures, and that safety-critical work regulations and legal requirements are adhered to;
• To manage your time effectively in order to fulfil all operational responsibilities

Experience / Educational Requirements:

•Minimum of an NVQ Level Three (or recognised equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
•Experience working within a Rolling Stock Maintenance environment.
•Experience of fault finding on rolling stock using a laptop is preferred but not essential.
•Experience in component replacement
•History of work in a process/production environment preferable;
•Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable;
•Clean driving licence for light vehicles;
•PC skills, including all Microsoft software packages.
