Would you like to be involved in the planning and oversight of projects which are pushing the boundaries of science and engineering here in the UK? Here at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, we are researching Fusion Energy and how to make it a reality! Engineers and Scientists from all over the world are involved in making Fusion a reality leading to a cleaner, green energy for the future.
You'll use Primavera P6 to plan projects, influence the Project Manager to prioritise key milestones and produce milestone reports. The role involves analysing large amounts of data and arranging it into a concise format allowing the project manager to understand at a glance the status of the project.
As an expert in project control methodologies you'll work with engineers and technical staff to produce project plans integrating them into a programme of engineering works. Producing resourcing predictions across programmes, advising senior managers where there are shortfalls and leveling the programme as necessary.
Degree or equivalent in engineering, physical sciences or related subject;
Solid experience in Primavera P6
Ability to display an understanding of engineering principles and scientific concepts
Proficient in use of MS Office Suite eg. MS Excel, MS Word
Proven track record of working within a project control function;
Excellent communication skills, proven ability to influence people;
Ability to quickly understand and absorb technical information;
Ability to work well in a team environment
