Who we are
We're United Utilities, the North West's water company.
From Crewe to Carlisle, we keep the taps flowing and the toilets flushing for 3 million homes and 200,000 businesses across the region.
Being good enough isn't our way of doing things. We want to provide the best water and wastewater services in the UK, and be absolutely genuine in the help and support we offer our customers.
Our purpose is to provide great service to customers and communities in the North West, creating long-term value for all our stakeholders.
Did you know we're one of the top 20 places to work in the UK?
We were recently awarded with a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award, recognising the Best Places to Work in 2020. We were ranked #19 company in the UK, based solely on the input of employees, who provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies on Glassdoor, one of the world's largest job and recruiting sites.
We were the only water company named on the list!
Working at Lingley Mere
We're lucky enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life at our beautiful offices at Lingley Mere Business Park in Great Sankey, Warrington. Complete with its very own lake as well as all the mod-cons you might expect, we've built a place where our employees love to come to work.
We have first-class facilities on-site, so whether you want to grab a coffee at Starbucks or a freshly cooked meal from our restaurant, we've got you covered. If fitness is your thing, we have an on-site gym, a running club and various walking routes across the site. To keep life flowing smoothly, we provide a free shuttle bus to and from Warrington town centre for all our employees, as well as generous free car parking on-site.
From our award-winning digital facilities (complete with AI employees) to innovative science labs, Lingley Mere has it all. You might even spot our resident heron!
Our recruitment partner
We work in partnership with Rullion, a forward-thinking recruitment company with over 40 years' experience across IT/Technology, Engineering, Nuclear, Rail and Construction.
Our relationship with Rullion began in 2001, and since then, it has flourished and they now manage all our temporary, contract and permanent opportunities.
We have a dedicated team from Rullion on-site at Lingley Mere who are on-hand to guide you through the recruitment process and help you get settled into life at United Utilities.
