Technology is important for TfGM, it underpins everything we do from supporting the Metrolink to providing online journey planners and everything in between. We are investing and scaling up our Technology function and want experienced and talented professionals who have the passion and drive to help us deliver better and faster using the latest technologies.

In this role you lead a team of infrastructure professionals and deliver a range of reliable and effective infrastructure, server and storage facilities, including primary and secondary data centres, network storage, significant physical and virtual servers, licensing, on premise and cloud based services. The provision of high performing services involves the delivery, support, monitoring and reporting of infrastructure performance within agreed IT strategies.

You will have experience in infrastructure, server and storage management; configuration of infrastructure components and security devices; the delivery of a range of on premise and cloud based services; and experience in providing expert IT support within a customer facing environment. It is essential that you also have a track record of leading a team and managing a busy workload with limited resources and exposure to PCI DSS, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning and Ethical Hacking.
