Rebecca Grayell-Rees: "I am raising money for Cancer Research UK"

Since joining Rullion four years ago as a Corporate Recruiter, I’ve been given some great support and opportunities for developing my career. Shortly after joining, I was promoted to Account Manager and subsequently to Senior Account Manager. I think now is a great time to join Rullion – it’s really exciting for employees with lots of new incentives, rewards and appreciation schemes. The organisation is becoming more active on social media and really standing out in the recruitment market place.

Personally, I like a challenge, so Rullion provides me with a great work environment where I can work towards objectives and ultimately, achieve goals.

Another goal I’ve been working towards is getting fit for my wedding which takes place in July 2018. Not only do I want to look great for my big day, I recently took the opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research UK by doing the Great Row. It involves participants rowing a marathon - 26.5 miles across the month of March. I wanted to fundraise for Cancer Research UK as it’s a charity close to my heart – cancer’s affected my family and the majority of families I know, so it’s great cause that motivated me to get into the gym.

The challenge saw me starting on 1st March and I completed 11 sessions of 20 metres, hitting 4000 metres each time, allowing me to cover off the whole 26.5 miles.
One in two people are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and breast cancer is one of the most common forms affecting people from all walks of life. Donating money for this allows advancements in research, leading the way for cures for all types of cancer. So any little thing I can do to help I will.
