Project requirement: Creation of an Internal Succession Planning Programme
Contract value: £1.8m annually
Key benefit to client: retention of key skills within the business
Since 2007 we've worked closely with BP, using our engineering recruitment expertise to plan, initiate and run its SkillsWell Programme. This internal succession planning programme established an official framework from within which the company can hire former employees on a contractor basis. Elements of the project included identifying and registering skilled leavers, arranging and facilitating quarterly contractors' meetings and providing guidance to former BP employees. We also compiled monthly reports of registered retiring employees to maximise their exposure to new contract opportunities among Hiring Managers within BP.
